Year 5 of our partnership with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra

Published 6th February 2023

We're delighted to announce the continuation of our long-standing partnership with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO).

At Allianz Musical Insurance, we’re passionate about doing what we can to support the wider music industry. Our partnership with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO), now in its fifth year, will see our continued contribution to the community of charitable support that secures the future of both the BSO, and the musicians and arts professional that make their music-making possible.

Championing inclusive music-making and tackling inequalities within the music industry has always been at the heart of our partnership with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. This takes many forms including our support of BSO Resound (the world’s first disabled-led ensemble at the core of a major symphony orchestra), BSO’s current Artist in Residence Felix Klieser, and the BSO Young Associates programme.

Our close relationship with the BSO has enabled us to see first-hand the incredible work they do to enhance lives through the power of music. This partnership has also allowed us to develop a deeper understanding of how the challenges all of us have faced in recent years have changed the landscape of the music industry. Working closely with inspiring contributors to the music industry such as the BSO helps us to recognise emerging trends, challenges and risks that all musicians face, so that we can continue to provide a leading service for musicians.

Over the course of this partnership year, we will continue to keep you up-to-date with BSO’s key initiatives and projects, as well as helping to shine a light on the talented artists and musicians we support. We’re excited to see what the BSO inspire over the coming year!

Bea Hankey, Joint Head of BSO Participate, commented: “We’re thrilled that Allianz Musical Insurance is continuing its support of our inclusive music-making in the community, with an ongoing commitment to BSO Resound, and the work of our Associate Musicians and BSO Young Associates programme. This kind of longstanding partnership enables us to deepen ties within the local communities we serve here in the South West, and help us to continue sharing our life-empowering live music that is known to help people find inspiration, hope and confidence.”
