Car insurance renewals made easy

Here's what to do, whether you're set to renew automatically or not...
Automatic renewal
About a month before, we'll email to let you know your price for the next year and the date your cover is set to automatically renew.
We'll ask you to log in to your account and check through your new insurance documents so you can make sure everything's correct.
If the cover's not right for you or something needs updating (payment card, named drivers, mileage, optional extras...) select 'Your renewal, make changes' in your account. Making changes can also change your price.
On your renewal date, we'll take your payment using the card details you provided. And that's it - we've got you covered for another year.

With Allianz Car Insurance, you always get the best price we can offer at the first time of asking. We're unable to respond to any requests to reduce your renewal price or price-matching.

When renewing, we recommend checking your cover levels are still fit for your needs to help you manage the price. You can do this online in your account.

You can cancel your automatic renewal in your online account. Here's how:

1. Log in to your account.

2. Select 'account details'.

3. Click 'edit renewal preferences'.

4. Select the option 'I do not want to renew.'

If the option to renew automatically isn't selected, then you don't need to do anything - automatic renewal isn't set up on your policy.

You'll find proof of your No Claim Discount in your renewal pack, which you’ll be able to view and download in your online account 30 days before your renewal date.

If you cancel mid-term, your NCD will be shared with you on your cancellation document.

Your proof of NCD will contain:

  • The vehicle attached to the discount.
  • The number of years the NCD was protected.
  • The policy end/cancellation date.
If you've opted to renew automatically, then you're all set and you don't need to do anything. Your policy will renew and the payment will be debited on the renewal date, using the same payment method and date as the previous year.

If you haven't opted to renew automatically, just log in to your account and click the 'renew now' button to pay for your policy manually.

Then, on your renewal date, the payment will be debited from your account and we'll send you your documents.

If you'd like to change your payment method, select 'Renewal, make changes' when you're in your account and update your payment preference there.

You can make changes online when you log in to your online account

If you'd like to make changes with effect from the renewal date, then please select the 'Renewal, make changes' tile and you can make changes there. Make sure you save any changes you make.

You can check if you're on an automatic renewal by logging in to your online account:

1. Select 'account details'.

2. Select ' edit renewal preferences'.

From here you will see if you are on an automatic renewal or not.
