  • There's no need to let us know if you’re not going to claim.
  • You should only claim if it’s for more than your total excess.
  • If you're reporting a theft, you'll need a crime reference number from the police.

Starting your Allianz Online Home Insurance claim online is simple and convenient. There's no waiting in line and you can do it in your own time.

If a claim is reported between 8am and 3pm (Monday to Friday), we'll get back to you by the end of the day. Any claims reported outside these times and we'll get back to you by the end of the next working day.

The price of your home insurance is more likely to be affected by the number of claims we receive as a whole. We settle thousands of home insurance claims every month. If the number goes up, due to things like increased accidental damage claims or extreme weather events - this could mean the costs to insure your home may go up, which will be reflected in your price.

Your home insurance premium is calculated on an individual basis. We’ll let you know your price in your renewal invitation, which is sent about three weeks before your renewal date.

An excess is the amount you have to pay towards a claim yourself.

When getting a quote for Allianz Online Home Insurance, you’ll be asked to select how much excess you’ll be willing to pay when making a claim. For most claims, our policy sets a minimum excess of £150, which can be increased up to £500 in exchange for a lower premium.
