Here's what to do, whether you choose to renew automatically or not...

If you have automatic renewal switched on:

  • Your quote
    About a month before, we'll email to let you know your price for the next year and the date your cover will renew.
  • Review
    We'll ask you to log in to your account to check your new insurance documents and make sure everything's correct.
  • Make changes
    If the cover's not right for you or something needs updating (payment card, address, optional extras, etc.) select 'your renewal, make changes' in your account. Making a change can also change your price.
  • Payment
    On your renewal date, we'll take your payment using the details you provided. And that's it! We'll have you covered for another year.

If you don’t have automatic renewal switched on:

  • Your quote
    About a month before, we'll email to let you know the date your current cover expires and your price for the next year. 
  • Review
    We'll ask you to log in to your account to check your new insurance documents and make sure everything's correct.
  • Make changes
    If the cover's not right for you or something needs updating (payment card, address, optional extras, etc.) select 'your renewal, make changes' in your account. Making a change can also change your price.
  • Renew & Pay
    When you're happy to continue, click the 'renew' button. We'll renew your policy for you when it's time. On your renewal date, we'll take your payment using the details you provided. And that's it! We'll have you covered for another year.

We'll pay towards somewhere to stay if repairs mean you can't stay home after a claim.
Leaks from any fixed tank, domestic appliance or pipe.
Including theft from outbuildings (see 'policy limits' for the amount covered).

If you have automatic renewal switched on:

On your renewal date, we'll take your payment automatically using the payment details you’ve provided. And that’s it! We’ll have you covered for another year.

If you'd like to change the payment method, simply log in to your account and select 'renewal, make changes’.

If you don’t have automatic renewal switched on:

Before your renewal date, you’ll need to log in to your Allianz home insurance account. On your homepage, select 'auto renew' in the top banner and continue from there.

We’ll ask you to check your new documents and make any updates you need before you confirm or change your payment details.

To change whether you pay annually or monthly (if eligible) select the 'renewal, make changes' tile and save any changes you make.

On your renewal date, we'll take your payment automatically using the details provided. And that’s it! We’ll have you covered for another year.

We’ll send you an email 30 days before your renewal date to remind you to log in to your account to check out your renewal price.

You'll also be able to make any changes and check all your details are up to date and correct for the next year.

We want to be as transparent as possible about our pricing, so here are some of the major factors we consider when calculating your home insurance.

You can trust us to keep your renewal simple and we’ll always give you our best price at the first time of asking. That’s why we can’t reduce a renewal quote or offer any price matching services

 

To check if your policy is set to renew automatically, please follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Allianz account.

2. Select ‘account details’.

3. Click the ‘edit renewal preferences’ button.

4. Check which option is selected.

You can change this option at any time up until your renewal date.

Your documents should be available on your renewal day once your payment has been taken.

To view them, log in to your Allianz account and click the documents icon. This will bring up your policy documents and document of insurance, which you can also download as a PDF.

We always give you our best price at the first time of asking. That’s why we can’t reduce a renewal quote or offer any price matching services. This keeps things simple and means there’s no back-and-forth negotiating prices.

We recommend you check your cover levels still suit your needs to help you manage the price when renewing. You can do this in your online account.

If you want to cancel your renewal, please log in and select ‘account details’ to check the policy is not set to automatically renew.

You can make changes online when you log in to your Allianz account.

If you want your changes to take effect from the renewal date, select 'renewal, make changes' and remember to save any changes you make.

If you want your changes to take effect before you renew, please select the tile for the change you need to make and proceed from there.

You can opt out of auto renew yourself in your online account and there’s no need to let us know if you don’t want to renew.

If your policy’s set to renew automatically and you want to change this, justsimply log in to your Allianz account:

1. Select the ‘account details’ tile.

2. Click ‘edit renewal preferences’.

3. Select the option ‘I do not want to renew’.

If the option to renew automatically isn’t selected then there’s nothing else you need to do.
