If you feel your car's about to give up...

  3. Only leave your car if you can do so safely.
  4. Be mindful of any moving traffic

If you have breakdown cover with your Allianz Online Car Insurance, we're here to help 24/7. Our breakdown cover is provided by Britannia Rescue, so if you've broken down and need our help, please visit Britannia Rescue and we'll take it from there.

You can do everything else in your Allianz account.

Choose from our 3 levels of breakdown cover

Local

We'll be there for you when you're away from home with a local recovery, if we can't get you back on the road.

What's covered:

  • Assistance from more than a 1/4 mile from home.
  • Local recovery up to 10 miles from the breakdown.

What's not covered:

  • no home assistance
  • no national recovery
  • no hire car, alternative transport or accommodation
  • no cover in Europe.

National

We've got your back - at home and across the UK - with national recovery, hire car, and overnight accommodation or transport if we can't fix it on the day.

What's covered:

  • Assistance at home or out on the road.
  • Local recovery up to 10 miles from your home.
  • Recovery to anywhere in the UK from the roadside.
  • Hire car, alternative transport or accommodation.

What's not covered:

  • no cover in Europe.

European

We'll be there when you need us most. As well as assistance and recovery in the UK, this option extends to European countries and includes hire car, alternative transport and vehicle repatriation.

What's covered:

  • Assistance at your home or out on the road.
  • Local recovery up to 10 miles from your home.
  • Recovery to anywhere in the UK from the roadside.
  • Hire car, alternative transport or accommodation.
  • Cover when in Europe.

1. Log in to your Allianz account and select 'Your car, make changes'

2. On the your page, select 'Edit car or cover'

3. On the car edit car details page go to optional extras

4. Select the date for when you want to add breakdown cover

5. Check the price, the car details, optional extras an the cover levels

6. Make payment 

7. All done!

Help us find you with what3words
