Howden acquisition frequently asked questions 

Allianz is committed to the future of the musical insurance market, in order to continue to maintain the best products and services, we identified that we would need a partner to continue this long term. Howden is a global strategic partner of Allianz and also has a specialist knowledge of the musical market. Through their Lark Music brand Howden can continue to provide the same level of customer care our customers know and love from Allianz. They also provide expertise and investment into technology and distribution for the benefit of both amateur and professional musicians.

Don’t worry, this transition won’t have an impact on any ongoing claims with Allianz Musical Insurance. From 18 November 2025 all claims are dealt with by Lark Music following their acquisition of Allianz Musical Insurance. This includes any that were reported to Allianz Musicial Insurance. 

If you reported a claim before 18 November 2025 to Allianz Musical Insurance and your claim remains open, your information has now been transferrred to Lark Music. They'll continue to help with your claim.

Allianz Musical Insurance will handled any ongoing claims until the 18 November 2025, after which Lark Music took over dealing with all claims and all the information related to your claim will be transferred to them so they can deal with your claim for you.

If existing Allianz communication preferences are set to receive policy documentation via email or email and post, then Lark Music will contact customers via email. If customers have set their communication preferences to receive policy documentation via post only, then Lark Music will contact customers via post.
