Reporting on its 2023 fraud results, Allianz Commercial detected £77.4m worth of claims fraud - up from £70.7m in 2022. The cost-of-living crisis is having an impact on businesses with the financial struggle leading to an increased insurance fraud threat.
As part of the insurer’s ambition to extend its UK presence, the personal lines business will rebrand its existing digital motor insurance product from Flow to Allianz in March, signalling a major branding step for the business.

Mid-year results show leap in UK casualty fraud & application fraud cases
The claims teams at Allianz have successfully prevented £38.4m worth of Commercial insurance fraud since the start of 2023 with over half of that being related to casualty fraud, particularly fraudulent major loss claims.
