Supporting our ongoing understanding of musicians, we are delighted to announce that we've selected Mind, the leading mental health charity and their sister charity SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health), as our new charity partner.

The partnership will initially last three years and will see local fundraising activities take place at Allianz offices across the UK to support the charity’s work. We've set ourselves the ambitious target of raising £1 million to help the charity’s campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health.

As musicians ourselves we understand the mental health difficulties that all musicians can face at some point in their careers. In 2016 Help Musicians UK, the charity that supports the health and welfare of musicians in the UK, noticed a 22% increase in calls for musician mental health support. This resulted in them commissioning the “Can Music Make You Sick?” study. The findings were very concerning - 69% reported experiencing depression, 71% experience anxiety, and 55% found it difficult to find mental help.

We'll be sharing some of our mental health top tips soon - stay tuned!
