  • If you’re awarded compensation, you’ll get 100% of it – we don’t take a %.
  • We’ll provide you with a legal representative, you won’t have to find one.
  • Our free legal assistance helpline, 24/7, 365 days a year.
  • A free online Will.
  • A free legal health-check.
  • A one-stop-shop online claims journey.
  • A suite of professionally drafted self-service legal documents.
  • A variety of resources for advice on legal topics such as your employment rights, managing disputes about goods or services, protecting digital assets on death and powers of attorney, as well as advice on upcoming reforms that might affect you.

  • It could cost hundreds of pounds to have a Will written by a solicitor or legal firm, but with our Home Legal Expenses cover, you’ll get a free online Will.
  • It’s extremely important to have a Will, to make sure you’ve instructed what you want to happen to your money, assets and guardianship of any children should you pass away. A Will is legally binding, so your wishes will be carried out when you have set them out clearly and the Will has been properly signed and witnessed.
  • Many UK adults don’t have a Will, which could leave their families in a very tricky situation if they are no longer around. It’s important to make sure your loved ones are cared for, and having a Will gives you that peace of mind.
  • So, if you add Home Legal Expenses to your Allianz Home Insurance, you’ll benefit from a free online Will, and advice on how best to protect your assets when you die, thanks to Lyons Davidson.
  • As well as a free Will, Lyons Davidson will also offer you a free legal health check. This check assesses your ‘legal position’ across a few areas of your life, including employment and property. This free check will also assess any legal risks you may be vulnerable to, and what you can do to mitigate those.

1. You’ll be asked a series of questions – the answers to these questions are what we use to create your online will. There will be tips and guidance as you go through the question.
2. Once you’ve answered all the questions, you’ll be able to view a summary of all the information you’ve given – take your time in making sure it’s all correct.
3. You’ll then be able to download, save and print your Will
4. It’s essential to sign and date your Will in the presence of witnesses to validate it. Guidance on who can be a witness will be provided when you download your Willl.
5.Once you’ve printed, signed and validated the will, please store it in a safe place.

Remember, you can ask for a review of your document by a legal expert, but this is not included in our free service and will come with an additional charge.

An online Will is suitable for the majority of people and their finances, but you may find you need a Will with more flexibility, to deal with certain aspects of your life which aren’t covered by the online Will.

The questionnaire will prompt you to consider these points, but may you should consider talking to someone at Lyons Davidson if you have specific needs such as:

  • If you live outside England and Wales.
  • If you would like advice on inheritance tax.
  • You have children of a previous family.
  • You have any foreign or agricultural property.

Lyons Davidson will be able to explain the options and provide you with a quote for someone to prepare a Will instead of using the online Will.

Here’s an overview of what we can’t cover:

  • To use your home legal expenses cover, you’ll need to use our panel legal firm unless you need to take your claim to court, or a conflict of interest arises.
  • Your claim must have more than a 50% chance of success.
  • We can’t cover divorce, separation, family law, wills, probate or trust(s).
  • Claims relating to any business activity wouldn’t be covered by home legal expenses.
  • Landlord disputes with a tenant or local authority issues are not covered by home legal expenses.

You can call our legal helpline on  0330 678 5245 , 24/7 365 days a year. Our completely confidential helpline is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and is run by legal experts who can discuss your claim and whether we can help.

Our panel firm will then determine the probability of your claim succeeding and the potential estimated costs associated. If your claim is given the green light, our legal panel will represent you and do all they can for a positive outcome for you or your loved one.

So, there you have it! Court, solicitor and barrister fees can be extremely costly, and the last thing you want on top of a legal dispute is a bill to match. Our Home Legal Expenses cover can be added to your Allianz Home Insurance for added peace of mind and financial protection when you need it most.
