Allianz UK raises £784,000 for Barnardo's
After an incredible second year of partnership, Allianz has raised an impressive £784,000 for Barnardo’s, marking a significant step towards its ambitious £1million target over three years.
In the past 12 months, Allianz employees have continued to raise donations through a wide range of fundraising activities big and small, including bake sales, gaming marathons, runs, walks, treasure hunts and skydives.
Their contributions amounted to £427,000 in 2025. This showcases the generosity and creativity of everyone who’s come together to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
Rodney Assock, Head of Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility, Allianz UK said:
"It’s amazing what we achieved in 2025 and I’m excited that we’re well on our way to reach our goal of £1 million donated to Barnardo’s by the end of 2026."
These funds are already making a tangible difference in the lives of hundreds of young people and their families, contributing to address critical issues such as child poverty and employment barriers through initiatives including:
Barnardo’s Child Poverty Fund
The Child Poverty Fund aims to help children, young people, and families feel safe, happy, healthy, hopeful – no matter their background or circumstances. Open to families supported by Barnardo’s 760 services, frontline staff identify urgent needs and submit applications. Support is delivered quickly and respectfully via e-vouchers, direct donations, or supported spend.
From 1 April 2025 – 15 December 2025, 4,484 households were supported through the Child Poverty Fund. The households had 18,096 members consisting of 12,773 children & young people and 5,323 parents and carers.
Barnardo’s Employment Training and Skills (ETS)
Barnardo's ETS programme works with 2,500 young people a year across 20 specialist hubs, offering young people the chance to equip themselves with the necessary skills, confidence and ambition to find work and start a career.
The programme aims to enable young people to overcome barriers to employment and create a workforce that is inclusive and prepared to support young talent.
