23 July 2026

For brokers, this creates growing demand for insurer partners with the people, experience and confidence to support clients in a fast-moving market.

Developed by Allianz in the UK, leveraging our leading global expertise in energy underwriting, the proposition has been designed for mid-market energy clients and can be tailored to provide customer-led solutions for complex risk features.

The announcement forms part of Allianz UK’s wider renewable energy strategy and reflects its commitment to supporting brokers and clients as they respond to the changing energy market. The expanded BESS capability sits alongside Allianz UK’s existing renewable energy expertise across wind, solar, hydro, biomass, anaerobic digestion and short-term operating reserve, giving brokers a clear route to Allianz’s specialist people and capability in this growing sector.
