  • you need to be 18 years of age or older to apply for credit
  • you have to be a UK resident, or UK registered business
  • you need to apply within 90 days from the start of the insurance  - we may decline any applications received after this
  • Instalments are spread over 12 months, the deposit being the first payment. If there is a delay in your application it may mean some of the collections are combined into one
  • you need to be the bank account holder or an authorised signatory to the bank account in order to complete the application.
  • the applicant must have an insurable interest in the policy (this means you would suffer a loss should that property be harmed)
  • the bank account must be in the applicant's name
  • the premium must be over £100
  • all applicantions are subject to our credit checks
  • if the deposit payment is declined then the instalment agreement will be void and then you would have to pay the policy premium in full
  • if an application is received after the start of the policy then any missed payments will be collected on the next available collection date (i.e payments wouldn't be spread over the remaining term)
  • Should a payment be rejected then it will be your responsibility to let us know and pay the outstanding payments

If you're having financial difficulty paying your premium as a direct result of COVID-19, please contact your broker to discuss your needs and what assistance may be available. Under some circumstances an adjustment to the cover required may be available and / or we may be able to assist with deferred payments. Please do not cancel your Direct Debit Instruction as this may trigger our automated default process, which could result in the cancellation of your policy.

To start the Premium Instalment Plan we will need a deposit of 10% of the gross premium. You can pay this by Direct Debit or direct to Allianz, we’ll let you know how to do this at the end of the application process.

If the deposit is paid by Direct Debit then the service charge is calculated on the total premium. If the deposit payment is made by credit / debit card or electronic transfer the charge is calculated on the amount left to pay.

If you pay your deposit by direct debit then the service charge will be worked out on  the total premium. However if you pay your deposit by credit/debit card or electronic transfer then the charge will be worked out on what is left to pay.
