IT Graduate Scheme
Award-winning and advanced – just two words to describe the Information Technology team at Allianz. And whether you’re interested in becoming a project manager, business analyst, developer, or you’re not sure where you’d like to specialise yet, our graduate scheme is a perfect first step to a career in IT. With placements across several technical areas of IT and also our corporate technology team, the scheme is designed to open your eyes to the bigger picture of how important technology is to a large organisation. You’ll be primarily based in our Guildford Head Office, but there will be exposure to - and potentially opportunities to work in - different branches and our offshore facility in India.
What you’ll be doing
Over two years, you’ll spend six monthly rotations in different professions working on a wide range of business projects. During this time you’ll be learning, developing your skills and helping to solve real business challenges through innovation - all with plenty of support from experienced managers. You’ll be able to see for yourself how your work adds value to the business and apply your newly-enhanced knowledge to positively impact and improve our future, becoming fully prepared for a career in IT.
Support, Training & Progress
Allianz is committed to supporting students in their studies. You’ll undertake a great technical training programme aligned with your rotations and we’ll fully fund and support you through a professional qualification with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) where you’ll gain your Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII), giving you that all-important financial services knowledge. You’ll have direct access to our buddying and mentoring schemes, which are a great way to make connections throughout the business and to learn more about our work. We’ll also put you in touch with other Allianz graduates, so that you can share your experiences with your peers and build a network with our business managers of tomorrow.
Once you’ve qualified your learning doesn’t stop there. You’ll have the opportunity to attend leadership and development programmes with your peers from across the business, as well as opportunities to meet and learn from colleagues across the Allianz Group. Your further steps with us will follow our IT Professional Development Framework which has been accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS).
