Motor insurance

Citroen and DS have highlighted a fault and implemented a stop-drive order which may impact your ability to make a claim under your insurance. The order has been implemented due to the chemicals in the Takata airbags which could deteriorate over time and cause the inflator to rupture, capable of causing serious injury. This means the manufacturers have advised that owners of such vehicles should immediately cease using their vehicles.

To help customers find out if their car’s affected, they can check the manufacturer’s website or contact them directly:

Although we expect you not to be driving your car during this time, we wanted to let you know that your policy remains valid but please remember if you choose to drive the vehicle after being advised by the manufacturer not to, and an incident occurs, our Claims Team will assess the claim on a case-by-case basis but your claim may be refused.

For the safety of your customers and other road users it’s important to address this issue as quickly as possible..
