The contact details of the engineer surveyor who conducted the examination can be found at the bottom of your inspection report.
Your engineer surveyor should make contact with you to arrange your inspection as they manage their own diaries; however, if you have access to your last report, it will contain your engineer surveyor’s contact details.
If you have access to Inspection Hub, simply click on 'locations', find your location and click on the telephone to reveal all of the surveyor contact details.
If you still cannot find the correct engineer surveyor, contact us and we’ll address your request directly.
Plant, machinery and equipment should not be used if their inspection is overdue. Operating without a valid inspection can constitute a breach of regulation. If the inspection is overdue, the equipment must be taken out of service until the examination is completed.
In exceptional circumstances, a competent person may allow short-term continued use if a formal risk assessment and justification are documented beforehand. This usually only applies in emergencies with proper oversight.
There is no requirement to re-inspect items of plant or equipment once a defect has been repaired, but the owner/operator/duty holder should retain all documented evidence to demonstrate the repair has been completed to the required industry standard.
The lifting beam is commonly located at the top of the lift shaft or lift motor room and is utilised in the repair of the lift running gear, as and when required.
As the beam does not form part of the elevator structure, it must be considered as a separate lifting machine and inspected and reported on accordingly.

Yes, Inspection Hub has been optimised to deliver full functionality from a desktop, tablet and mobile device.
In tablet and mobile view, information is arranged vertically so you can scroll through the widgets easily.
Within your Inspection Hub account, you will be able to access a wide range of documents and data related to your inspection services, including:
- Your inspection reports (old and new)
- Due and overdue items to be inspected, and their locations
- All defects identified with your items
- Your locations
- Details about your specific items
- Help, support and contact information
- Automated integration with asset management systems to reduce manual effort.
If your company has multiple business areas, you can select which specific area’s details you wish to view through the dedicated Business Area Filter.
You can also filter information based on location if you operate across multiple sites.
All inspection reports in your Inspection Hub are formatted as PDF documents. This makes them simple to read, export and print for your internal company records.
Inspection Hub keeps up to six period reports.
Through your Inspection Hub, you can access numerous details about your items of plant, machinery and equipment, including:
- Their location
- Serial number
- Discipline (lift & crane, pressure systems, LEV, etc.)
- Manufacturer and date of manufacture
- Policy number
- Item status
- Date of last inspection
- Next inspection date
- Next inspection date
- Examination type
You can also read and export the inspection reports related to each specific item.
Yes. By selecting the search function in the ‘Items & Reports’ section, you can search across the item fields to locate the exact item(s) that you wish to review.
Yes – when you click the ‘Export’ button in the top-right corner of your filtered items list, you can export this information to Excel.
You can also export copies of current reports using the download function. Export is for spreadsheets, download is for reports.
Your Inspection Hub will contain a range of useful documents and resources in the 'Help and Support tab' relating to the system and your wider engineering inspections and/or specialist services.
These documents provide you with information that helps you navigate and understand your portal, our Liability and Indemnity covers, and can assist you in understanding all our inspection services and processes.
If you are an eServices user, you will keep your access until you are onboarded to Inspection Hub.
eServices will be closed by 2027 when all customers will be using Inspection Hub.

Just complete our simple registration form to sign up for your Inspection Hub. We aim to respond to all new registrations within 21 working days.
Inspection Hub FAQs (commercial brokers)
All new customers are being invited to provide the information required to join Inspection Hub at the outset of their policy.
We are currently working through our onboarding plan for existing eServices users and are reaching out to customers in groups, inviting them to join Inspection Hub. This activity will continue throughout 2026.
We’re in the process of creating user profiles within Inspection Hub for brokers, but this functionality is currently not available.
In the interim, you’ll be able to access your client’s reports via your eServices account. If you do not have an eServices account, please contact inspectionhub@allianz.co.uk.
Customers will be contacted when it’s their turn to be moved to Inspection Hub. They’ll be given an overview of Inspection Hub and guidance on the next steps.
If your customer would like to use Inspection Hub all they need to do is register for Inspection Hub.
Initially no, but you will be able to view your new business customers' reports on eServices until these become available to view on Inspection Hub.
