What do you want to do?
You can make changes to your Allianz Online policy 24/7 by logging into your account.
- Start by tapping on the policy you'd like to amend.
- Tap on the 'Your car' button.
- Tap on the 'Make changes' button, then follow the steps to amend your policy.
If you'd like to make changes with effect from the renewal date, please select the 'renewal, make changes' button and you can make your changes there. Be sure to save any changes you make.

You can renew your Allianz Online policy by logging in to your account.
- Select 'renewal' to see what your price will be for the next year.
- You'll be able to see if your policy's set to automatically renew – you'll also be able to opt in or out.

Windscreen or glass claim:
There's no need to contact us - you can get in touch with our recommended windscreen provider directly. And you don't even need your policy number to book!
Windscreen claims don't affect your no claim discount. For example, if you get a chip in your windscreen and it needs to be repaired or replaced, you'll have to pay an excess - but you won't lose any of your NCD. You can find your windscreen excess in your policy documents.

Damage to your car only?
If you've had an accident involving just your car and no third party, then you can log your claim quickly and easily online.
So long as nobody's been injured and your vehicle hasn't been stolen, simply log in to your account and select 'make a claim'.
If another vehicle was involved or if someone was injured, please refer to the 'For any other car claim' section below.
For any other car claim:
First things first, make sure you and your passengers are safe - your claim doesn't need to be reported to us immediately.
Once you're comfortable, you'll need to:
- Take note of the time, date and location.
- Make a record of what happened.
- Get names and contact details of the other driver(s) and any witnesses.
- Write down the licence plates of the other cars involved.
- Take pictures of any damage.
- Note down any injuries.
You'll need to call the police if:
- The other driver(s) left the scene without providing their details.
- You suspect the other driver(s) may have caused intentional damage.
- You think the other driver(s) could be uninsured.
- You have reason to believe the other driver(s) is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Looking to cancel your automatic renewal?
You can cancel your automatic renewal in your online account. Here's how:
- Log in to your account.
- Select 'account details'.
- Click 'edit renewal preferences'.
- Select the option 'I do not want to renew.'
If the option to renew automatically isn't selected, then you don't need to do anything - automatic renewal isn't set up on your policy.
You can cancel your Allianz Online car insurance policy by logging into your account.
Before the start date
- You can cancel any time before your start date without charge.
In the first 14 days of your cover (cooling-off period):
- You have 14 days from the start of your insurance to decide if you’re happy with the policy.
- If you cancel within these 14 days, we’ll refund any money you’ve paid, minus a charge for the time you’ve been covered, even if you’ve made a claim.
After 14 days of cover:
- You can still cancel your insurance but there’s a £40 cancellation fee.
- If you haven’t claimed, you’ll get a refund minus the cost for the time you’ve been covered.
- If you’ve made a claim, you won’t get a refund and if you pay monthly, you’ll need to pay the full balance of your annual premium.
