General value
While anyone with an income can benefit, it’s especially valuable for clients who want to protect their lifestyle and focus on recovery without added financial stress.
Why clients might need it
Some of the reasons to consider income protection for your clients include:
- Their savings may not be enough to cover living costs if they’re unable to work due to illness or unemployment
- They may only qualify for statutory sick pay (SSP), which may not cover regular expenses
- Their employer’s sick pay may not cover all monthly outgoings
- They’re self-employed and do not receive sick pay
- They don’t already have ASU coverage through another insurance policy
- They want a solution due to affordability or gaps in long-term protection
Flexible cover options
Clients can choose from full accident, sickness, and unemployment cover; accident and sickness only; or unemployment only cover. Clients can insure up to 65% of their gross monthly income, with a maximum of £3,000 for new mortgages and £2,000 for existing mortgages or customers with a mortgage offer.
Flexible excess period options
Clients can select from a range of excess periods – including back to day one cover – giving them control over when their payments begin. Claims are paid directly to your client for up to 365 days per successful claim.
Homeowners
To keep pricing competitive, cover is only available to clients who either have a mortgage or a mortgage offer on a property they permanently reside in or intend to reside in at the cover start date. Coverage can continue once the mortgage is redeemed.
Accidental death cover
12 x monthly benefit, included automatically with Accident and Sickness cover.
