Allianz Career Returners – Virtual Event 10 June

Posted: 29 May 2020

Open to professionals who’ve been out of the workplace for two or more years the event will showcase local opportunities within Allianz ranging from business change through to actuarial.

The objective is to provide return-to-work support and information, together with an initial exploration of opportunities through speaker sessions and a skills workshop.

Around half a million professionals in the UK are currently on care-related career breaks, and the majority want to return to work.  Recognising a wealth of untapped talent in 2016 Allianz Insurance became the first UK insurer to create a specific route to success for those who’ve taken career breaks. The programme is supported by bespoke coaching sessions from Women Returners, and returners are helped in the transition by a business-based mentor.

Who is the virtual event for?

  • Anyone who’s had a career break for a minimum of 2 years
  • Is seeking a return to the workplace
  • Is looking for a role in the Guildford area
  • Has experience in Business Change/Project Management, Data, Professional Head Office Services (Legal, Finance, HR, Procurement)

Graham Gibson, Claims director, said: “Successful organisations are made up of people with different strengths, backgrounds and ways of thinking. Through these events we’re hoping to find talented people who are looking to return to work but may have had a career break. We value diversity as a source of strength and a career gap shouldn’t be a barrier to achievement.”

The event is taking place on Wednesday 10 June with registration at 9.45am and the event taking place from 10.00am – 11.30am.
