Your valuables can make up 30% of the total contents you get insured. So, if you choose to insure your contents for up to £100,000, you could claim up to £30,000 of that for your valuables.
Also, a single valuable item could be up to 15% of the total contents you insure. Assuming you chose to insure up to £100,000 of contents, you could claim up to £15,000 for a single item.

If you’ve employed someone to work in your home such as an au pair or a housekeeper and they get injured while they are there, we’ll pay up to £10 million for legal costs and compensation that you’re responsible for. This does not cover you for people who are self-employed, only those who are employed directly by you.
If you’re awarded compensation and expenses for any loss or damage to a property, we’ll cover the cost if it hasn’t been paid after three months, as long as there isn’t an appeal going on. Just remember that this insurance is for the policyholder and those covered by your policy.

When someone leaves for college or university, it helps to know their things are insured while they’re away. We’ll cover their belongings up to £3,000, whether they’re staying in halls of residence or privately rented accommodation. So you don’t have to worry about the cost of replacing anything that might get damaged or stolen.
It’s worth bearing in mind that they won’t be covered for theft or attempted theft that doesn’t involve the use of force or violence. So if they throw a party at their house and something is stolen because their door was unlocked, whatever was stolen wouldn’t be covered.
If you’re having people to stay you can be safe in the knowledge that we cover their belongings while they’re in your home. We’ll pay up to £2,500 for their personal belongings if they get damaged or lost in your home, as long as the items aren’t insured by another company.
You can choose whether you need any of these optional extras included in your Allianz contents insurance, so you can make sure it's right for you.
If you’ve got a special piece of jewellery, a favourite watch or any personal item you wouldn’t want to get lost, stolen or damaged, you can add this extra insurance so you can be safe in the knowledge that they’re covered when you’re out and about.
With this extra, your possessions will be insured if they get accidentally damaged at home, as well as theft and accidental damage when you take them out with you in the UK or Europe. On top of this, if you go on holiday, your belongings are insured anywhere in the world for up to 60 days in the insurance year.

If you need us to, we’ll even put you up in a hotel for the night (up to £200). This also covers severe weather, fallen trees and getting rid of pests and wasp’s nests.
Sofas and your other furniture just aren’t the same if things don’t match. As standard with us, we’ll pay up to 50% of the cost to replace a set or suite in your home – if we can’t replace the broken item.
With this upgraded cover added to your insurance, we’ll pay to replace the whole set if we can’t replace the broken item. We’ll make sure your suites match, so they won’t spoil your room.
As standard with us, your audio and visual equipment, mirrors and glass will be insured against accidental damage. We’ve all, at one time or another spilt something on the sofa or carpet.
