Our services are designed to make sure that our customer’s needs for safe and efficient plant operation, coupled with the ability to assess risks regarding the health and safety implications are delivered in a cost effective way.

Our services are provided through our in-house engineering specialists supported by, and in association with, our network of business partners.

The testing and inspecting of equipment can help prevent breakdown and damage which can affect costs.

We have a range of COMAH and NDT services to help keep equipment operational and meet the relevant health and safety regulations.

Steve Ford our Special Services Manager, shares information about COMAH and NDT, its importance, our offering and when this service should be used.[Duration 1:39 mins]

Pressure services

Our comprehensive range of specialist pressure inspections and consultancy services, which supports our Allianz Engineering Inspection contract, covers the life cycle of pressure equipment.

We are able to provide a variety of services including:

  • Written Schemes of Examination: The Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) 2000 require all owners and users of pressure systems, operating above 0.5 bar or containing steam, to put in place a  Written Scheme of Examination and then have a subsequent Thorough Examination completed.
  • Advice, risk assessments and detailed bespoke examination schemes that can assist in compliance with The Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations (COMAH) 2015. These regulations were introduced with the aim of preventing major accidents and limit the consequences of such events to human health and the environment.
  • Examination schemes and inspection work scopes that can be created to assist compliance with: HSG 176; The Storage of Flammable Liquids in Tanks; GOV.UK Guidance; Oil Storage Regulations for Business and the Provision of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER).
  • Inspection of storage tanks: This will involve one of our highly qualified engineers classifying the risk of the storage tank and undertaking not only the inspection of the tank (including any non-destructive testing) but also providing further advice to reduce the risk.
  • Advice relating to the repairs and modifications of pressure systems, including the necessary review of all documentation provided by the repair company. This will enable the user of the pressure system to ensure that the repair is being carried out appropriately, and establish the root cause of the defect requiring repair with the intent of avoiding the need for future repair.

On completion of all work we will witness the hydraulic pressure test, carry out a post weld NDT of the repair and update the Written Scheme of Examination.

Incorrect installation, defects and misalignment are some of the ways in which new lifts can fail.

We have a range of Vertical Transportation services to help businesses keep lift installations operational and meet the relevant health and safety regulations.

Steve Ford our Special Services Manager, discusses the importance of Vertical Transportation and Lift Consultancy.
