What we need
- Full name, address and contact details of the policyholder*
- Policy reference number
- Claim reference number (if claim already exists)
- The date and location of the incident
- Full circumstances surrounding the claim
- Any other relevant information central to the claim.
*If the person reporting the claim or requesting payment is not the named policyholder (or appointed representative) we will require a written mandate confirming the policyholder’s consent to proceed.

What happens next?
Due to the nature of cargo claims, the process is unique to each case.
Depending on the type of claim and value involved, we may:
- ask for additional information
- appoint an independent loss adjuster to deal with the claim
- arrange for member of our claims team to visit you.
We will provide you with guidance and advice on the claims process and acknowledge and proactively manage third parties on your behalf.
