Life at Allianz

We have 28 offices across the UK with our Head Office situated in Guildford, Surrey.  We also have a dedicated training suite at Horsley Park in Surrey.

Each of our offices have on-site facilities whether you're based in Guildford, Birmingham, Manchester or Chelmsford. We've got you covered with kichnetters, restaurants and breakout areas. Some of our offices have local food vans or Allianz buses to take you in to town.

There's also wellbeing initiatives and sports and social groups in each of the offices with plenty ways you can get involved.

During the current Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, our employees are working from home.
We have started a limited programme of reopening some offices with a small number of colleagues returning but this will only continue cautiously, in line with local and national lockdown restrictions and ensuring all workplaces are Covid secure.

Our employees are individuals and we want to bring out the best in each of them. We nurture and invest in talent to ensure great people build great careers with us.
Developing our talent is a very important success factor for our business, both locally and globally. Our internal talent programmes help to move people up through the business using performance management, succession planning and leadership development.

We take professionalism in the industry seriously and support professional qualifications. Many of our employees are members of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and we also support memberships of many other professional bodies.

We offer our employees a range of learning and development programmes with guaranteed time for personal and professional development. From lunch-and-learn sessions and internal training, to external courses, LinkedIn Learning and more. There's opportunity to learn more and develop skills with our extensive portfolio.

We have a range of active employee networks which are voluntary, employee-led groups– including Allianz Pride (LGBT+ and Allies Network for the UK) along with others focusing on gender, cultural diversity and ethnicity, mental wellness, disability, sustainability and working parents. These networks help bring individuals together to offer support, networking opportunities and a sense of community. However, they also offer a collective voice and source of expertise to help Allianz identify and remove barriers which employees may face and support the inclusion and contributions of all employees.

Babu works as a Technical Team Leader and is the network lead of Allianz ENRICH.

We aim to lead our industry by embedding strong environment, social and governance (ESG) standards into our everyday decision-making across our insurance and investment businesses.

Our industry-leading approach integrates ESG concerns by applying Allianz Group-wide corporate rules and ESG instruments across all our underwriting, investment, and asset management activities.

Examples of ESG risks include human rights violations, illegal logging activities, or severe corruption allegations.

However, ESG factors can also present opportunities to induce positive change, such as increased requirements for renewable energy investments or offering solutions for emerging markets. We aim to lead our industry in integrating ESG factors into our insurance and investment decisions.
