The scheme involves four rotations, each lasting around 6 months and will give you the opportunity to sit with all the different teams within Claims.
Part of your role will involve analysing and investigating claims and you will be given responsibility to make liability decisions and work out the best way to settle claims in the most cost-effective manner. To do this, you'll work alongside solicitors, claims investigators, loss adjusters, engineers and many other experts to ensure that claims are investigated efficiently and the correct decision is made as quickly as possible.
During each placement you will also work on a number of technical and operational projects so that you get varied experience, while developing a wide range of technical, commercial and leadership skills through industry-leading, hands-on training.
During your internship, you'll be placed in one of our Claims Data & Insight teams and get the opportunity to gain an understanding of many different areas within our business, interacting with colleagues throughout the UK.
You'll be responsible for managing your own workload, which will involve working directly with claims information, analysing key clients and statistics to ensure exceptional customer service is achievable for the business while also delivering excellent service to the operations team and beyond. This may mean that ad hoc travel to our Claims Handling Centres is required.
Allianz has a strong reputation for supporting students in their studies.
You’ll be assigned dedicated study days and the funding you need to successfully complete the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII).
As part of the Claims graduate scheme you will also join the internal Allianz programme, Technical Leaders in Claims, which gives you exposure to technical managers within the company. Alongside mentors, you will work on projects with mentors and get a lot more insight into the claims function.
