Dedicated Training Facility
Alongside facilities in our offices we have our own branded suite at a DeVere venue in East Horsley where many of our training courses are delivered by both internal and external trainers. There’s a touchdown computer room for keeping in touch with the office, flexible space for meetings and endless coffee; all set in beautiful Surrey parkland.
Interested in a leadership career path? You’ll find structured support in our development programmes for graduates, for emerging talent, managers and senior managers. All employees, be it on specialist or leadership career paths, also find a range of development programmes for personal and team performance and for business skills. We design and deliver our programmes in partnership with trusted external partners, for example the Henley Business School, and our development framework has been accredited by the national Investors in People (IiP) standard.
Sometimes an expert friend to bounce ideas off is all you need. Mentoring is part of our development culture, and for targeted leadership support we also provide coaching. If you’re an executive, you can also benefit from the global programmes run by the Allianz Management Institute, the corporate university of the Allianz Group. Senior delegates from business units around the world meet here to discuss leadership topics of global importance or performance improvements.

Our reputation rests on the excellence of our people, so we encourge you to attain the right level of professional skills and experience as well as the relevant professional qualifications, for example with the CII (Chartered Insurance Institute). As an insurance business, our core disciplines are underwriting, claims and sales. To ensure excellence in these disciplines, our learning and development portfolio includes our:

Both the Underwriting Academy and Excellence In Claims are accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) for their commitment to continual professional development. By working through these programmes, you can gain credits against the CII exams. Our Excellence in Sales programme is measured against our own quality standards and accreditation framework.

Personally supported by our Management Board members and a team of Learning and Development professionals, we actively develop our talent at Allianz. Everyone in the company have three days per year available for personal development related to their career development interests.
