Finance Graduate Scheme
About the scheme
In a company with a strong financial performance like ours, it’s safe to say that our Finance team has their work cut out for them. As a Finance Graduate you’ll work in a dynamic and friendly team spread across three key areas: Core Accounting (Accounts Payable, Cashiers or Management Accounts), Financial Accounting (within a Business Division) and other Accounting (Internal Audit, Tax or Group Accounts) at our head office in Guildford. You’ll spend a year in each area, working on exciting challenges and gaining hands-on, hard-to-beat experience from day one. As well as getting stuck into a stimulating range of corporate and trading accounts, we’ll support you in gaining your CIMA or ACCA qualifications, while giving you the chance to apply your technical know-how to real business problems.
What you’ll be doing
From day-to-day accounting processes to quarterly, monthly and year-end responsibilities, you’ll learn the ins and the outs of managing finances. And we’ll show you the bigger picture too, like how a large insurance company keeps its finger on the financial pulse. As you rotate around different areas of Finance, you’ll get involved in an interesting and evolving range of projects, growing your skills at every step of the way. This scheme provides responsibilities and real opportunities to add value to the business.
Support, Training & Progress
Allianz has a strong focus on supporting students in their study. You’ll be assigned dedicated study days and we’ll provide you with the study material you need to successfully complete your chosen finance qualification. You’ll have direct access to our buddying and mentoring schemes, which are a great way to make connections throughout the business and to learn more about our work. We’ll also put you in touch with other Allianz graduates, so that you can share your experiences with your peers and build a network with the business managers of tomorrow.
You’ll be taking finance exams, developing your work-based skills and knowledge and expertise in the general insurance industry, as well as knowledge across the lines of business that you work on. Once you’ve qualified, your learning doesn’t stop there - you’ll have the opportunity to attend Leadership and Development programmes with your peers across the business, as well as opportunities to meet and learn from colleagues across the Allianz Group.
