Rewards & Benefits
We give you more, it’s that simple. In our competitive benefits package, we don’t just focus on the standard offer of rewards and benefits; we give you those added really-nice-to-have extras too. Our wide range of benefits are tailored to meet the needs of our employees. And because different benefits appeal to different people, we have a varied selection on offer.
So, on top of your competitive salary, you’ll get other flexible benefits like extra holiday and really useful discounts for shops, events, gyms and entertainment – sometimes even free tickets to the Saracens rugby! We’ll also give you preferential rates for personal insurance on our motor, home and pet insurance products. And as well as your employee bonus, we’ll pay cash rewards on completion of your professional qualifications.
To find out more about our rewards and benefits in more detail, have a look at the benefits page on our main careers site.
We love to recognise the stars within our business. Here are some images from our recent Retail Operations Annual Awards for Operational Excellence.
Our aim is to help you grow and enhance your skills to get you wherever you want to go. As a global leader in our field, training and development is one of our strengths and something which we invest a lot into. All of our new Contact Centre Representatives experience three weeks classroom-based training when they start. You’ll gain an overview of our organisation and learn our products, processes and systems.
As part of the training, you’ll also go through the Allianz Underwriting Academy, our own CII accredited Training Programme. You will also meet your Academy Team Leader who will support you once your Training is complete, as well as other members of the leadership team to help you understand how the business works and the strategy for the site. You’ll also get to know each other and have the opportunity to bond as a group, learn technical knowledge through tuition, role plays, group exercises, quizzes and by listening in to live calls.
Before you speak directly to any live customers, you’ll go through a ‘phone coach’ process where you’ll role play typical scenarios to make sure you feel really comfortable with what you might experience and can give our customers the great experience they - and we - expect.
In the first month of training, you’ll also attend an Allianz Welcome Day where you can find out more about the world of Allianz.
Following the completion of training, you’ll graduate to the Academy environment where you’ll remain for a number of weeks until you feel fully competent and confident to join your permanent team. You’ll have lots of additional support, and will be surrounded by people with similar experience with staggered targets to reflect their level of experience.
During this time, you’ll return to the training room for several more advanced additional modules of training such as Customer Experience and Sales Modules to build on the skills you already have – and start to work on some new ones.
With a nationally accredited Investors in People standard development framework in place, we have a wide range of programmes to support people with their ongoing development and career progression. So whether it’s an NVQ in sales or learning how to make new starters feel more comfortable, all you need to do is talk to your line manager or team leader and they’ll give you all the details you need to get on and improve your skills.
You are fundamental to the success of our organisation. So we offer a diverse range of opportunities to help you develop new and enhanced skills and strengths – providing that all-important spring board to your next job role.
We have a Job Family framework in place that helps us to clarify the performance and behaviours expected in each job role – as well as the training and development available to achieve this. It’s closely aligned to the Appraisal and Personal Development Planning processes and aims to make it clear how you can progress within the organisation. You can move vertically within the same job family or just focus on becoming really excellent at what you do. You’ll also have the opportunity to progress from the Academy level, to a Core level and – for those with the ambition, determination, performance and behaviour – to the Advocate level, where you will be held up as a role model and part of a talent pool to take on additional responsibilities.
We also support all our staff with dedicated personal development days each year related to their career development interests which could include volunteering opportunities.
