This happens for example through learning ‘on-the-job’ in roles providing the appropriate level of stretch and challenge, through projects and on our various development programmes. Allianz offers a diverse range of opportunities that build on strengths and provide the platform to develop new and enhanced skills to support your career aims and business objectives.

Individuals interested in a leadership career path will find structured support in our development programmes for graduates, for emerging talent, managers and senior managers. Our programmes are designed and delivered in partnership with trusted external partners, for example the Henley Business School, and our development framework has been accredited by the national Investors in People (IiP) standard.

Mentoring is part of our development culture, and for targeted leadership support we provide coaching solutions. Our executives can also benefit from the global programmes run by the Allianz Management Institute, the corporate university of the Allianz Group demonstrating a strong commitment to people development across the whole organisation. Senior delegates from business units around the world meet here to discuss leadership topics of global importance or performance improvements in their functional area.

Both the Underwriting Academy and Excellence In Claims are accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) for their commitment to continual professional development (CPD).  By working through these programmes credits can be gained against the CII exams.  Our Excellence in Sales programme is measured against our own quality standards and accreditation framework.
