“The people at Allianz Claims are committed, friendly and competent, a combination which makes being a new person to the company and division a fulfilling and rewarding experience. I was supported from the start; I joined the scheme in September 2006. I had very few preconceptions about Allianz. I knew they were a large, international company and of their sponsorship with F1. I consider myself very fortunate to have been selected to join Claims; the opportunities have been abundant and varied and I have never looked back.

There is support and training for all skills, from presentation skills to project work. After six months on the programme I identified an area of Claims that I now wish to pursue my career in. I have been given all the support I need to achieve this aspiration, including observation, extra training and limitless advice. This is in addition to the support and tuition I receive to achieve my ACII and CMI Certificate in Team Leading.

I have a very adventurous spirit. Before I joined Allianz I travelled around Africa. I was lucky enough to swim with sharks, go on safari and sky dive. These were all things I never imagined I would be able to do, but the fulfilment can come from some of the most unobvious things. Although I hadn’t previously considered a career in insurance, now that I am here I cannot imagine doing anything different. I am challenged, supported and stimulated in my work, which is something I value very highly indeed. I am looking forward to developing a very fulfilling and successful career within Claims.”
